Our SEN Dens @ trecco bay were designed to ease holidays for families with children with additional needs.
Being a parent of 4 ASD children, I can fully appreciate how overwhelming caravan holidays can be. I often worry about have I packed enough toys to keep the children entertained, what if theres no internet?, how can i secure the doors and windows,  will they break things, how am I going to do food shopping when I arrive as it wont fit in the car. These questions are enough to get my anxiety racing before I've even booked.

The aim of our SEN den is to offer a cosy, and safe environment for you and your family. All windows and doors leading to outside have safety locks, our decking has a lockable gate, there are protectors on the cooker to stop little hands turning the knobs, an air fryer for comfortable cooking,  all wires are hidden away and the kitchen fridge, cupboards and draws have safety locks. PLEASE NOTE our caravan doors have key locks like you would see at home not turn locks and therefore may not be suitable for individuals with physical disabilities or severe impairment.

We have then designed our  2 bedroom  with fully removable items for our sensory seeking guests.
These include a large busy board with locks, gears, xylophone,magnetic games and more, megablocks with small lego base table, soft play building blocks, aquadoodle mats, large sequin colour changing mat, liquid floor tiles, wobble cushion and rocking board to name a few.
Our dining table folds away to make space for a pop up blackout Den to create a calm , safe space for your little one to unwind after a busy day on park.

Our lounge is fitted with sensory lights, bubble tube and fibre optic pieces to create a calming ambience. Dont worry they are all stuck down to avoid breakage. Perfect for de-sensitising before bed time. We provide private 5g wifi connection and a Netflix account so your little ones dont miss out on their favourite cartoon programmes.

This caravan has 2 bedrooms, 1 double and a room with 2 single beds.
The single room is decorated with neutral colours, has night lights, black out curtains and a tv/dvd player fixed up high to the wall with a selection of dvds.
Our childrens bedroom has been designed to comfort and sooth with minimal distractions.

We understand that some children do not fully comprehend household dangers, making bedtime a worry for parents. To overcome some of these obstacles , we offer the option to remove the single beds and create a low bed "cwtch" area with mattresses, teddies and cushions over the entire floor space for those children requiring a safer environment to sleep.just request at time of booking.

We have designed our 2 bedroom Sen den to offer fully customisable holidays. Even down to the decoration.
We have a Rainbow theme with bright and colourful furnishings or a calming & relaxing pale green and grey minimalist option. No ornaments or breakable items. Just let us know which best suits your requirements and leave the rest to us.

Our decking area is accessed straight from the front door of the caravan. This is equipped with a lockable gate to avoid escapes, a seating area for the family, a small water table, and a  area for your little ones to play with the soft play blocks and outside items safely with minimal danger.

Inside the van you will find picture cards to aid in communication with non verbal children and a visual timetable to complete to prepare your children for the day ahead.
In addition, the van is fitted with a visual timer. This can help children understand how much time they have left before transitioning to a new activity, including dinnertime and bedtime.

As parents, we can never prepare for delays or disruptions as we travel to our holiday. Check in times are flexible and we have fitted a keysafe to the van so you can arrive after check in time at your leisure.
We also live close by and can arrange to greet you at the park entrance and guide you to the caravan. This will hopefully relieve any worries of getting lost on park.

We offer several optional extras to add to your holidays,including party food package for arrival and  basic groceries shopping to ease the worry of supermarket meltdowns.

ASD can result in children not understanding instructions, and experiencing a sensory overload when stimulated in different environments. This can often result in children temporarily losing control of their behaviour, often expressed as verbal shouting, physically lashing out or running away.
To help eliminate potentially dangerous situations, we have a Mobiquip xl pushchair for hire.
The pushchair is extra wide, lightweight and suitable for upto 10 years old or 50kg weight. Its fitted with a 5 point adjustable harness and footrest for safety
This will give you the freedom to step out with confidence.

We have created a unique experience in our 3 bedroom sen. We have a bedroom with a perminant low bed and a 5ft trampoline in the lounge. You wont find anything else like it ANYWHERE. Please note our Van's have doors with KEY LOCKS  leading to the outside not thumb locks and therefore may not be suitable for individuals with

Our 3 bed sen

We have a permanent low bed in one of the bedrooms as shown  the above picture. There is an additional bedroom with 2 beds and adults room with double bed.

When the pressures of the day become a little to much, some children become overwhelmed and search for a quiet safe corner to self regulate. To minimise danger, we have introduced a pop up dark den to our 2 bedroom sen that you can use in the lounge with pillows and throws to create a calming and soothing safe room.
